With sufficient software quality to the Moon

The source code of Apollo Space mission (space command module and lunar module) has just been published on Github:
The obvious interest is checking for the Software quality used in the race to the Moon. While it’s very hard to evaluate and understand the code itself, the comments do provide some hints, such as the following:
”Temporary, I hope hope hope”

As a software developer it always our intention to deliver the perfect code, but in a competitive situation this is sometimes not possible and other goals are more important then the highest quality code as long as the test cases are passed.

This shows, that the goal should not be perfect, but sufficient in terms of software quality and that sufficient is still enough to win/succeed.
