connect Smartview to OTBI

click on Panel icon of Smart View Ribbon:

click on Private Connection

click on Create new Connection at the bottom of the panel

choose Oracle BI EE as connection provider type:

Enter the following URL (no port information needed):

https://****-test.fa.em2.oraclecloud.com/analytics/jbips

This will give access to the Reports saved in My or shared Folders:

To work with the established connection, it is posssible to directly drag content of a pre-built analysis to Excel or to Load the element of the Analysis into Designer View to edit the Analysis before dragging it into Excel. The Designer View can be opened from the bottom of the Panel:

Reports can then be opend in Excel:
